LocationIn between Rouen and Deauville, just outside the village of Saint-Philbert sur Risles. You approach through a long tree-lined drive. Le Rossignol is ideally placed for visiting the famous Normandy beaches and historical Falaises (cliff faces), and there are no end of things for children to do in the area, including fabulous beaches, horse promenade and farms etc. Honfleur and Deauville are 40 minutes, Paris 90 minutes.
You are also ideally placed for golf excursions, and shopping at Deauville.

AccommodationLe Rossignol is decorated with original polished and 17th century limestone floor, chandeliers, English and French antiques and Fine Art. It has four double bedrooms and three bathrooms. The atmosphere is elegant but relaxed, a happy marriage of traditional French with modern fixtures and fittings. Communal guest rooms include a Grand Salon with an open fire, a dining room with an open plan kitchen, and a library.
Le Petit Manor has a living room with an antique French Billard, and a Gaveau grand piano. It is also used as the pool house, with a bathroom, an open plan kitchen.
The swimming pool is 13 meters long (43 ft) and ideally located for sun baths. It is heated.
FacilitiesThe ground includes an apple and cheery orchard and an ornamental fish pond.
There are bicycles, and you can cycle through the countryside, free from traffic, down to the local village to buy ice creams or camembert.
AreaDeauville is a cosmopolitan town, with wonderful designer shopping, casinos, and a thallassotherapy treatment centre. The beach here is beautiful, certainly rivalling the Cote d'Azur!
